2020 TEXAS WARRANT ROUND UP
WHAT IS THE WARRANT ROUND UP?
Over 300 local law enforcement agencies throughout the state of Texas statewide are joining forces between February and early March for 2020’s Great Texas Warrant Roundup.
If you have active arrest warrants on old, unpaid traffic tickets anywhere in the State of Texas, you will likely be notified by the court your ticket is in, via mail or telephone.
You’ve been advised to contact a municipal court , Justice of the Peace or county court and encouraged to pay off outstanding fines, during a deceptively titled “grace period.”
DO NOT DO IT!!!!
Simply paying a fine (even if it is reduced or court costs are waived) to resolve a traffic ticket means it WILL go to your driving record, it will be a conviction, you will have a increased chance of your license being suspended and higher insurance premiums.
The truth is if you pay off a fine (or apply jail time served credit) associated with a citation for a moving violation you will have a conviction on your driving record!
Don’t waste your time and your money.

After that, the court will send us a court date in the mail. Most of the time, you do not have to come to court. The attorney will go to court for you. The attorney reviews over discovery to look for the best ways for a dismissal of your ticket.
